Natural dyes are dyes that are extracted from plants, insects or minerals, which due to their chemical composition have the ability to dye natural fibers, such as cotton, jute, wool, hemp, silk, etc.
Unlike synthetic dyes, they are ecological and sustainable. They contain no chemical components derived from petroleum, harmful to health and the environment.
The essential dyeing process requires soaking the material containing the dye in water, adding the textile to be dyed to the resulting solution and heating the solution over a low flame for an extended period, often measured in days or even weeks, occasionally stirring Until the color has been uniformly transferred to the textiles.
The washing process consists of treating the fabric in the same way as silk or wool: It is advisable to wash by hand with cold water for a greater care of the fabric. Use soft PH soaps, do not use bleach, dry and stock in the shade.
